We are ecstatic to announce a game-changing addition to our CodeWP editor – the inline code explanation feature. Available for both free and pro plans, this feature aims to make coding more accessible and user-friendly for all.
How does it work?
If you've ever come across a line of code that you couldn't quite decipher, you'll appreciate this new feature. To use it, simply highlight the specific line or section of code you need help with, and the inline code explanation feature will generate a detailed description of what the code does.
For example, if you have a placeholder or a WordPress function that you're unsure about, just highlight it and Code WP will provide an inline code comment explaining its purpose. The feature works with both simple and more complex scenarios, such as creating Elementor dynamic tags or generating explanations for LearnDash functions.
The Technicalities
Our inline code explanation feature leverages underlying AI modes, training embeddings, and other technical components to create these helpful explanations. Note that these explanations won't be saved in the snippets by default; they'll appear within the editor itself for real-time interaction and understanding.
Based on user feedback, we may explore the possibility of adding inline saves or tooltips to the snippets in the future.
For Free and Pro Users Alike
We believe that understanding code should be accessible to everyone, which is why we've included this feature in both our free and pro plans. Pro plan users will also have access to a more powerful inline chat GPT-like bot, allowing for a more conversational and interactive experience when seeking code explanations.
We hope you enjoy this new addition to the Code WP editor. As always, we're eager to hear your thoughts, so please share your questions, comments, or concerns in the comments section below. Happy coding!
